Biography of Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa was born on 26 August 1910 in Albania. Before mother Teresa she was a Catholic nun of Albania, she got the nationality of India and established the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India in 1950. For over forty-five years she ministered to the deprived, unwell, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s development. First she founded the missionary all over India and then in further countries. Following her demise she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and specified the title ‘Blessed Teresa of Calcutta’.

Awards and Achievements of Mother Teresa
By the 1970s, she was internationally renowned as a humanitarian and supporter for the underprivileged and feeble. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and further won India’s highest civilian admiration, the Bharat Ratna, in 1980 for her humanitarian effort. Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity sustained to expand, and at the time of her death it was working 610 missions in 123 countries. In 2010 on her 100th birth anniversary, she was praised around the world, and her labor admired by Indian President Pratibha Patil.
Criticism
She has been eulogized by many folks, governments and institutions. However, she has also encountered various range of condemnation. These include objections by various individuals and assemblies, plus Christopher Hitchens, Michael Parenti, Aroup Chatterjee, Vishva Hindu Parishad, against the proselytizing spotlight of her work including a powerful stance against contraception and abortion, a faith in the spiritual kindness of poverty and alleged baptisms of the dying.
Early Life of Mother Teresa
She was the youngest of the family from Shkodër, Albania, born to Nikollë and Drana Bojaxhiu. Her father was into the Albanian political affairs and died in 1919 when she was just eight years old. After her father’s loss, her mother raised her as a Roman Catholic. Her mother’s foundation was probably from a village. She left her home at a tender age of 18 to connect to the Sisters of Loreto as a missionary. She never saw her mother or sister again.
Missionary of Charity of Mother Teresa
On September 10, 1946, Teresa experienced what she later on illustrated as “the call within the call” while traveling by rail to the Loreto convent in Darjeeling from Calcutta for her yearly retreat. “I was to depart the convent and serve the poor while living amongst them. It was an order. To be unsuccessful would have been to break the faith. She initiated her missionary work with the poor in 1948, substituting her customary Loreto habit with a plain white cotton sari decorated with a blue border. Mother Teresa adopted Indian nationality, spent some months in Patna to receive fundamental health training in the Holy Family Hospital and then projected out into the slums. Originally she started a school in Motijhil (Calcutta); in a little while she started nursing to the needs of the impoverished and starving. In the commencement of 1949 she was joined in her endeavor by a group of youthful women and laid the basics to form a new spiritual community serving the “poorest among the poor”.
Death of Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa experienced a heart attack in Rome in 1983, while an appointment with Pope John Paul II. After her next attack in 1989, she was given an artificial pacemaker. In 1991, after a fight with pneumonia while in Mexico, she suffered additional heart problems. She presented to quit her position as head of the Missionaries of Charity. But the nuns of the order, in an undisclosed ballot, nominated for her to continue. Mother Teresa approved to carry on her work as head of the order until she took her last breath on 5th September 1997.
