We all know the importance of education and  how it helps to transform the world. Similarly nowadays ADULT EDUCATION has become very popular we hear, read about it in newspapers, social media and news channels, but what exactly this is?

“EDUCATION HAS NO AGE BAR”

This saying is very apt for adult education or continuing education.

Adult education helps  adult acquire new form of knowledge,skills,attitude and values. This education is very important as  it helps adults to accomplish their goals ,dreams and personal needs. There are many vocational courses like food production, computer training etc. which adults can learn and earn money. These programmes are highly economical and are offered through secondary schools and training centres.In this way adults learn by doing, it is a sort of internship .Adult education adds skills and keep them updated with the world and provide them a sense of accomplishment. This also makes adults more active .This can also increase their income and contribute in G.D.P growth and development of the nation. It is also a way to remove illiteracy .Adult education is even more useful for women or girls who could not peruse higher education due to some reason.

Adult education is concerned with skills and there is no age bar so it can give those people a chance who are or were not as brilliant students at academics. Adult education if promoted more in villages can help in developing the rural areas and this way rural areas will not remain isolated. Adult education also helps to improve industrial sector. There is an inspiring story of a women who took training for tailoring and then opened a shop with  3 people working ,slowly the business widened and she  now owns a factory of her own and employing 100 people. so this way adult education helps to generate employment opportunities. So this way we can say that  adult education is very fruitful and should be promoted.

The government should raise more and more funds to open more training centers and motivate more and more people to join such centres.People who join such centers have  to face many challenges like they have to maintain a balance between their personal and professional life so they should be given advice how to manage that thing. Training centres should run at night so that people who work at day can also attend.
