Yes you read that right, Despicable Me and Minions co-director Pierre Coffin voiced all of the minions himself. For the new film, Coffin voiced 899 of the little yellow henchmen.

2. They are Worldly little guys.

The directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud actually voice the minions and for that purpose, they used words from languages including French, English, Spanish, and Italian with additional elements of Russian and Korean.
“There are a lot of food references as well,” Renaud said. “For example, ‘poulet tiki masala’ is French for a Indian chicken dish.”
