GTU WES – What is WES-ECA and Why is it Essential?
- World Education Services (WES) is institute which is accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to evaluate your foreign education credentials i.e. degree/ diplomas which you gained from outside of canada.
- ECA is essential because it the required document to IRCC- PR process to claim poins for your previous education for various pathways such as CEC, PNP, Agri-Food immigration pilot etc.

How to create account in WES?
- Click on to: https://applications.wes.org/createaccount/
- Select Country as CANADA.
- Choose “ECA Application for IRCC” or any other option of your choice.
- Enter your email id and create account by entering your details and making payment by credit card (around 260 CAD). [Don’t have credit card? – Click here to Get Instant Prepaid Credit Card from Wealthsimple Cash]
WES PROCESS – Gujarat Technological University WES Process
- You will get 6 digit reference transit number. You must save reference number because it will be needed for all the future communications.
How to get transcript directly from GTU and send it to WES? [GTU Online Transcript Request]
- Log on to: https://student.gtu.ac.in/Login.aspx
- Log in with your enrollment number and password which you used to create account when you requested degree certificate.
GTU WES PROCESS – Gujarat Technological University WES Process
- login and go to left hand side “Certificate Request” tab.
- Click on red bold colored “Click on for certificate request”
STEP-1 – GTU Transcript Request:
- Click the checkbox – By Post.
- Put your Address which is on your govt ID like Aadhar card, Driving license etc.
STEP-2:
- Choose your Zone from Drop down- Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat
- Type of CERTIFICATE: Transcript (Both soft copy and hard copy)
- Student Wants GTU to send the Electronic copy of Transcript to WES directly ? – “YES“ {Make sure you checkmark “YES” on the question to send the copy to WES.}
- WES reference number: Enter 6 digit reference number (transit number you have gotten at the time of application from WES)
- Upload your ID proof.* – ** Please upload jpg , jpeg , bmp , png & gif file less than 1 MB
- Upload your degree certificate.*- ** Please upload jpg , jpeg , bmp , png & gif file less than 1 MB++
- Submit and pay the amount for the transcript copies.( 1st copy – 250 , extra copy -50 per copy in INR).
GTU will send the copy to WES online directly and you will also get the requested copies of transcript in post.
How to get ECA report online from WES?
- WES will notify you when they will receive the documents from your institute.
- They will also notify you for the each step time by time.
- It will take Up to 35 days to process your documents.- My process was completed within 3 days.
- IRCC will directly get E-copy of the report and you will get the paper copy of the report by canada post.
